Ensuring workplace safety, safeguarding our employees, and supporting their well-being are the essential components for the success and future of DSV. Conforming with all safety regulations and processes by all DSV employees is our utmost priority, which is reflected in our Code of Conduct.

The foundation of our health and safety policy are the four main pillars

Our health and safety programme promotes a healthy and safe working environment for our employees and people who work with us in our locations. It aims to reduce the risk of accidents, incidents and ill health.

Managing and evaluating our performance
The occupational health and safety strategy is anchored within the Board of Directors and the Executive Board and is supported locally across our global network.

As we strive to continuously improve our safety performance, we apply important health and safety controls and drive leadership engagement both globally and locally. Controls like the group-wide Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) is just one of the KPIs we use to measure the effectiveness.

We have a clear ambition to eliminate fatalities which is supported by our zero-fatality target. We are working diligently to identify and mitigate risk and in case of serious or fatal accident, a specialised global team is supporting the local operation up to conduct a thorough investigation of the accident, and to identify adequate responses.

Dangerous goods
As a company that provides transport and logistics solutions for dangerous goods, it is of paramount importance that the authorities and the public have full confidence in our dangerous goods capabilities.

In all our relevant locations trained professionals are assigned to ensure a safe handling of dangerous goods products, in strict compliance with our Dangerous Goods policy.

Resilience management 
DSV established a crisis management framework and corresponding organisation to be prepared to handle potential risks and regain control in situations where considerable loss of human life, property, reputation, operations and/or finances may occur. Our crisis management framework is implemented throughout the organisation and is based on global standards and procedures. It enables us to respond to incidents and events in a determined and consistent manner and thus ensure fast recovery.

No matter whether an incident or crisis is minor, severe or critical and whether it is due to internal or external events, we are well prepared to be able to limit the impact on employee safety, production continuity and/or reputational damage.
